Private Health/HICAPS
I accept health fund rebates from all major health funds. This can be claimed on the spot through the HICAPS terminal meaning that you will only need to pay the gap amount.
Work Cover
If you have an approved work cover case number and valid medical certificate you are automatically approved to be covered for your first 6 physiotherapy treatments. Any further treatment required will need to be requested and you may need to seek an extension of your medical certificate. Work cover will cover the entire amount of an initial 40 minute session and 30 minute follow up sessions. If you feel you need longer than this for your appointments please feel free to book a longer session however you will be responsible for covering the gap between the appointment fee and what work cover will pay. Please contact the clinic for more information on gap fees.

Medicare/GPCCMP

If you have a chronic medical condition (present for more than three months) and have a valid referral from your General Practitioner (GP), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for allied health services, such as physiotherapy. This referral is officially known as a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Care or EPC plan).

Key details regarding your Medicare appointment:
-
Session Limits: You are entitled to up to five Medicare-subsidised allied health sessions per calendar year under this plan.
-
Medicare Rebate Amount: Medicare currently provides a rebate of $61.80 per session.
-
Payment Process: We require full payment for your appointment upfront. Following the payment, we can promptly process your Medicare claim electronically. The $61.80 rebate will then be returned directly to your nominated savings or cheque account (usually within 24-48 hours).
-
Required Documentation: Please bring your physical Medicare card to every appointment so we can efficiently process your claim.
-
Missing Medicare Card: If you forget your Medicare card, you must pay the full fee upfront. You will be provided with an invoice which you can use to claim your rebate back online via Services Australia (Medicare Online).
-
Private Health Insurance: Please note that you cannot use both your private health insurance and a Medicare rebate for the same session.
Third Party Insurance
Third Party Insurance
If you have had a car accident which has caused you musculoskeletal injury you may be entitled to a third party claim. Please start the process early as we need an approved case number in order to invoice the insurance company. You can attend Physio immediately for your injury but please note you are responsible for all fees until approval. You may be able to claim the paid amount back from the insurance company once approved.
